Heather and Dakota Scheiber met on a blind date where they were set up by a mutual friend. They ate at Tin Fish and then went bowling. They had a great time and hit it off, and the rest is history as they say! Dakota, along with their puppy, proposed along the Newburgh riverfront on the second anniversary of their first date, and the couple now has two dogs and are expecting a baby girl this summer. The couple had their wedding rehearsal dinner at Tin Fish as a sweet way to honor both the beginning of their relationship and the start of their lives together. Heather’s favorite color is purple, and she always knew that was going to be the dominant color in her wedding. She didn’t want to worry about everything matching perfectly, so she decided to use different shades of purple, and accent that with silver and gold. She shares, “My style isn’t exactly over the top, but I wanted everything to be pretty and elegant. My mom was really instrumental in helping bring my vision to life. Sweetwater Event Center is such a beautiful facility to begin with, so we didn’t feel like we needed to overdo the decorations. Our DJ provided some uplighting, which was the perfect finishing touch.”
