“Rob and I met in September of 2013. Our first date was at Zuki . We both absolutely love sushi, so this was the perfect first date. I had a feeling after about 3 months into dating that this man could actually be the one I marry, and for me, this was huge deal. He completely surprised me and proposed in June of 2017 in front of the Escape from Gringotts ride in Harry Potter World at Universal Studios. It was the best spot, because we had been going to Harry Potter World every year since we started dating.
I decided on classic colors for our wedding like wine, blush, navy, and gold because they are just timeless. My aunt made all of my bouquets and most of the decor. I specifically wanted a blush dahlia in my bouquet, [and] it turned out to be everything I wanted and more. Rob and I both love Game of Thrones so we decided we wanted to add some pieces here and there that referenced that theme. From our wedding cake and grooms cake, to our dragon champagne flutes, to quotes from the show embroidered on decor throughout the reception hall, and to entering our reception through a tunnel formed by our wedding party holding swords. Because having fun was our top priority!”
