It was a Sunday in the middle of California summer when Jacob received a text from his friend that read, “Hey dude! You should come play soccer this Sunday. There is a new girl named Chelsea on our team. You need to meet her for two reasons. 1. She’s WAY better than you and 2. You’re going to marry her.”
Talk about a text paving the path to your soulmate! Jacob, of course, couldn’t resist seeing and playing soccer with the girl who became his wife. After that first fateful game, Chelsea and Jacob spent 6 months of what they call the “friend zone,” playing soccer, going to the beach, and falling love.
For their wedding, they knew no place would be as perfect as Jacob’s family business and new venue, the ballroom at COMFORT by the Cross-Eyed Cricket in Evansville. Every part of the room was built by family from the brick walls, the crystal beads on the chandeliers to the Chuppah, flown in to be built special for their wedding. Friends and family flew in from all over the world to celebrate the marriage of this much-loved couple. Specialty drinks, donuts in leiu of a cake, and an epic hora dance made for memorable moments and fun details.
To be in a room literally built and filled with love was the greatest gift to Jacob and Chelsea.
