In Abby’s words, “Craig and I met in the summer of 2015 when I was a sophomore in college. He was just returning back to Evansville from working at a large bank in Chicago to help with his family business, Azzip Pizza. Through mutual friends, we met within the first week of his return and started dating another week later. We have been together ever since.”
“Even before COVID, we wanted a backyard wedding. Our original guest list was 100, but we knocked it down to 35 so our grandparents could safely attend. Our best friend, Tyler, married us, while I had my brother by my side as my man of honor and Craig had his brother by his side as his best man. A family friend sang and played acoustic guitar when I walked down the aisle.”
“Each picnic table had our initials engraved and they were given away after the party to our parents and siblings to take home. Craig and I’s table not only had our initials in it, but also a quote to our wedding song “Say that you’ll remember, dancing in September” that again, our family friend sang and played acoustic guitar to. We ended the night with a bonfire and dancing.”
